ABOUT

Kelly Smith is a director, producer and screenwriter based in North London.

His love of genre cinema led him to study BA Film & Drama at the University of Reading, following which he co-wrote (with director Julien Magnat) The All-New Adventures of Chastity Blade, a fantasy-action short which was nominated for a Student Academy Award.

Kelly then worked on the editorial team for such features as In Bruges, The History Boys and The Queen.

In 2011, he served as co-writer on Julien Magnat's psychological thriller Faces in the Crowd, starring Milla Jovovich, Julian McMahon and Marianne Faithfull.

Also in 2011, Kelly's debut feature as director Don't Let Him In was released. The UK horror film starred Sophie Linfield (The Football Factory) and Sam Hazeldine (The Monuments Men) and was released by High Fliers Films in the UK and Image Entertainment in the US.

His current projects include The Fallen Woman, a ghost story short now in post production, and Nice Mike, his second feature film as director. The dark comedy thriller stars Nick Sidhu, Julian Shaw and Adrienne Grant, and is scheduled for release in 2019.
