My latest project, a horror paperback in the classic tradition, is now available to order!

Binocular consists of two novella-length tales of unease, or as the back cover puts it: ‘Two unflinching descents into dread, where drab reality is squeezed rudely by the fingers of the weird.’

The book is the first title published by Mutant Hoof, an independent imprint created by my good buddy and long-time creative collaborator Nick Sidhu and myself.

The first story is ‘Six’, written by Nick. Here’s the synopsis: When their boiler needs servicing, Jack and Miranda invite repairman George Snile into their home. But as the outwardly jovial Snile charms Miranda, Jack begins to suspect that the sinister specialist conceals a diabolical agenda.

And next up is ‘Selkie’, written by myself. The synopsis: When bullied outcast Ross sees his new friend transform into a seal in a dream, he nicknames her 'Selkie'. But when the otherworldly Selkie meets the crushingly ordinary Neil, Ross realises he must do something dreadful or lose her forever.

We have exciting plans for the company, so keep an eye on www.mutanthoof.com for updates.

And you can order your copy of Binocular exclusively at Lulu. Perfect reading for a cold winter night…
