Am delighted to announce that my supernatural short The Fallen Woman has been selected to screen at the 2023 Romford International Film Festival!

I was fortunate enough to have my previous short film Friend screened at last year’s RIHFF, and it was an absolute blast. Festival organiser Spencer Hawken and his team have created a fantastically fun fest, which is a true celebration of indie horror for filmmakers and fans alike.

And RIHFF 2023 is going to be an even more awesome beast, as it’s expanded to two screens at Romford’s Premiere Cinema, with over 70 features and shorts showing, plus Q&As with Italian horror legends Silvia Collatina (The House by the Cemetery) and Giovanni Lombardo Radice (Cannibal Ferox).

My film The Fallen Woman — a homage to atmospheric chillers in the classic M.R. James tradition — will be screening in the Long Shorts strand at 10pm on Sat 25th Feb, alongside two intriguing companion films: Steven Lyons’ Ancient Britain-set epic Serurta and Lee Daehan’s Korean shocker The Masterpiece.

Tickets are an outrageously affordable £4 and are available here.

Or you can jump here to book a Day Pass (a snip at £15) or a Full Festival Pass (an extremely reasonable £34), which will allow you to gorge on cinematic atrocities for the whole festival!

There’s a smorgasbord of international fright fare to choose from, stalls of merch and collectibles on show (including artwork by The Dark Side magazine’s Rick Melton), plus a free screening of Michael Mann’s cult classic The Keep on opening night! What more could any self-respecting fright fan ask for?

Hope to see you there!
